Six

I leave in six days and I still have a million things left to do.

1. get a haircut- this is the most important

2. buy 4589456 things (like facecloths, contact solution…blah)

3. learn how to wash clothes (yay)

4. pack

I bet you’re like, well you have six days, no big deal. Did I mention that I am the only one that can work at the pool this week, and I’ve got stupid hours like 9-10 am, and then 7-9:30?? And I live 30 minutes away from where I work, which is lovely.

I think I’ll go into town today and buy everything I need, then get a haircut right before I go. Oh farm life…. you are inconvient at times.

In other news, grad was AMAZING!

I graduate tomorrow (holy cow) and then it’s only 9 days until I leave. This is insane, especially since I haven’t done anything on my to do list.

I don’t know how I’m supposed to pack for five weeks with a limit of 50 lbs. I tend to overpack. Damn luggage constraints.

All I did today was decorate for grad ceremony and banquet. It was fight free surprisingly.

Welcome

This is my travel blog, Aventures en Francais, or Adventures in French.

I am from rural Saskatchewan and can’t speak a word of French. Before I go off to college in the fall, I am travelling to Pointe-de-l’Eglise in Nova Scotia for 5 weeks of total French Immersion.

It will be interesting to say the least.

So I’ve created a blog to record my experiences along the way, and to keep in touch with family and friends.

My to do list before I leave on the 6th

1. Pack. Create a packing list.

2. Buy the stuff that I need to pack (like shampoo, long distance card, etc)

3. Buy books to read on my 7 hour trip (including airport stay overs, etc)
