It rained today!!! Giant, fat drops of rain!!! It was great!! Except I forgot my très très extraordinaire parapluie from Lynzie at home (as in Saskatchewan) so I had to get soaking wet. Boo. (btw, parapluie en anglais is umbrella).

Class was good…. we learned how to as somewhere where their town is (the north aka le nord, the south aka le sud, the east aka l’est, and the west, aka l’ouset), where they live on campus and their room number, as well as their telephone number.  Class is getting easier and the class is small (14) so there’s a lot of attention for the students, which I’m used to, being from a class of 6. We learned that a group combined of males and females is ALWAYS masculine, even when girls outnumber guys. My teacher (a girl)  thought it was très sexist.

I almost was late for my l’atelier because I fell asleep in my dorm. I had set an alarm, but it only went off about 10 minutes before 2, instead of at 1:30!! And then I went to the wrong place because Dèbutant 1 were doing something different than the real petite bois people. Luckily I got sent off in the right direction and I didn‘t get a avertissement. Le Dèbutant 1 went for a walk in petite bois, which is a bunch of forest paths. We went to the ocean, up to the lighthouse and back to the school. It lasted about an hour.

I’m surprised at how different I am here. I go for walks all the time, I do heavy work (well, gardening, but it’s dirt! That’s new for me!) But it’s different in a good way. Hopefully I’ll bring my good habits home with me. And it’s a good thing I do all this walking because I am eating so much!!! I think itès because I’m not talking as much, so I just shovel the food in.

Tonight at 9pm there’s a play type thing in Le Châteaus starring le animateur (and maybe the professeurs). I’m debating whether or not to go, because je suis fatiguèe (tired). But I’m sure it’s going to be hilarious, even if I don’t understand a word, because they use a lot of lot of physical comedy. During the information sessions they act out the activities so the dèbutants know what’s going on.

I am going to supper, and then maybe another nap.

PS – The concert last night was FANTASTIQUE!!! It really made me miss Dad because he wouldève enjoyed the music, even though he couldnèt understand it. The band was kind of Celtic rock, and really really awesome!

Ièm going to find a way to upload pictures soon, I swear. Today my account wasn’t working in the computer lab so I went to another place. I’ll try again tomorrow.
